WELCOME BACK!
I'm so glad to see that your absolutely wonderful show is back on
here in Chicago. I've always loved Candid Camera. I won't miss a show!
John Tillotson, Chicago
I'm so thrilled that you're back on the air on PAX TV. I've been
upset that you haven't been on the air lately. I've been a big fan of Candid Camera
since I was a little girl back in the sixties.

WHY THE CLIPBOARD?
I've always been a loyal fan of your show ever since I was 8 years
old and admire your dedication in trying to make others smile. I'm a 28 year-old
mother of one (9-month baby girl) and from Trinidad & Tobago. I have a question:
While doing your gag, the person who's saying, the ever popular "smile, you're
on Candid Camera," I notice that they are always holding a black book or
a clipboard. Why? What's the reason for this? Am I the only one who is noticing
this? Anyway thanks for all the years you've made me laugh, and I hope you continue
to do so for years to come.
Natalie Burton, Trinidad & Tobago
Peter's reply: We can't tell you our secrets, Natalie. But you know, we've
got to hide our microphones as well as our cameras.
SMILE, YOU'RE ON DVD
I can't think of a program that I enjoy or have ever enjoyed more
than Candid Camera. I'd love to buy the programs you sell but I'm waiting for
you to release them on DVD. Do you intend to have them available on DVD?
Richard Ortiz
Peter's reply: We don't have any plans to put Candid Camera on DVD. However,
if there's more interest we'll look into it.
TOUCHED BY PETER'S SON
Words cannot express how precious Peter's son Danny was when he
explained "love" to us. He is the "sweetest kid" I believe
I've ever seen (excluding my own, of course), and I might add one of the wisest.
(I think his "words of wisdom" could also be used in one of the anti-violence
campaign films.) I love your show.

THE JOY OF LAUGHING
I grew up watching Candid Camera and enjoyed every minute of it.
Each week, our entire family would be able to "put the world aside"
for a while and just laugh at everyday people being themselves. Although I am
much older now, I was delighted to find the show return to
television and thoroughly enjoy myself whenever I happen to see it. Congratulations
on keeping the tone and quality of the show as it was originally executed. People
need to be able to laugh and your show provides the opportunity.
Teri Anderson, West Des Moines, Iowa
CATCH MY WIFE, PLEASE!
My wife is a secretary for Employee's Mutual Insurance and we watch
the show all the time. I would love to see you surprise her because she gets embarrassed
real easy. Her name is Janet, and she would just die if you showed up.
Bryan Ramsey
Peter's reply: You're not the first to suggest we catch a particular person,
but that's not how Candid Camera works. The people on our show are picked completely
at random. By the way, your wife suggested we catch you!
ALLEN'S CANDID FILM
I am looking for a movie video made in 1968 by Allen Funt called
"What Do You Say to a Naked Lady?" Do you know where I can purchase
this video? Can I purchase it through your website? Thanks.
Myra Gutierrez
Peter's reply: My father often referred to that film as "the cleanest
dirty movie ever made." It is still in a few video stores, but we don't sell
it.
MORE REACTIONS
We love the show but half the fun is seeing people's reactions when
they are told they are on Candid Camera. Please, please, please show more people
reacting to the news that they are on the camera!
Cynthia Chavez, Brentwood, Tennessee
FROWNING IN BAKERSFIELD
I guess your program won't be showing in Bakersfield any longer.
I can't get PAX in Bakersfield. I hate this. Oh well, I guess I won't be smiling
any longer.
Chris S. Rogers, Bakersfield, California
Peter's reply: PAX is expanding its coverage, and it is on DirecTV - so keep
your fingers crossed. More important, keep smiling!
