FEEDBACK

Here are more of the letters recently received from viewers who miss seeing Candid Camera on a regular basis. (Please note, only signed letters will be considered for publication.)

WHERE TO WRITE…
Where can we write CBS so that Candid Camera is broadcast again regularly? It is such an excellent show! It was great to watch it on Friday Nights; what a great way for our family to relax after a hectic week of school and work. Saturday was a good night for it also. We need more quality family programming like Candid Camera. How can we start a campaign to get it back on TV? It's our favorite show!
—Andy, Cheri, Meg and Mike Miller, Neenah, Wisconsin

[Peter's reply: Why not write to the top guy at CBS: Mr. Leslie Moonves, CBS Entertainment, 7800 Beverly Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90036.]

…AND OTHER REMARKS
What is wrong with CBS? Don't they know that Candid Camera is one of the best shows on TV? We look forward to seeing it and wish that it would last at least an hour if not more. Please have the show back on ASAP!
—Doris Smith, Texas

I wish you would put Candid Camera back on. I get so bored every Saturday. Not only that but I'd like it if you put it on every week.
—Kelsey Eckert

My husband and I enjoy Candid Camera each time it's on and include it in what we tape if we're going to be out that night. We're getting tired of all the messing around CBS does with the show schedule as well as other favorite shows we watch. Most of our favorites are on CBS. Keep up the good work. We also watched the original Candid Camera with our children. It is a great family show. Our grandkids like to watch with us now.
—Roscoe & Shirley, San Diego, California

My family and I watch your show together all the time. You guys have done an outstanding job so far, and I would love to see Candid Camera become an hour show. Thanks for the great laughs, and keep up the good work!
—Amanda Hawkins, Jasper, Florida

I have Muscular Dystrophy, as do four of my family members. Though the M.D. is a challenge, we are all positive, strong people, who love Candid Camera. I would like to see Candid Camera sell the new shows on video, so when there is a time that we could use an extra laugh, and the show is not on the air, we can still watch it and laugh, which brings us great healing effects!
—Mary Olson, Seaside, Oregon

I was disappointed to hear that the show is on hold. I hope that CBS will resolve the situation soon so that I can laugh again. I am a recent college graduate and the only funny thing to me about the real world is your show. It is always good for a laugh, please bring it back.
—Aaron A. Erickson

I really think your show is the greatest. Hope they aren't playing games by preempting your show. There are no shows like yours and for entertainment your show has no equal.
—Bob Montella, Anchorage, Alaska

Your show is the best! As a single parent of three young children and being a full-time student, I do not have time to watch a lot of television. I do, however, squeeze in time for Candid Camera. Your show makes me laugh all that stress out of my body. I do not understanding why your show is not regularly on Saturday evenings.
—Kathleen Strickland, Davie, Florida

We absolutely love watching Candid Camera. Your show could bring a smile to someone even when they are having a bad day. My 9-year-old twins love watching your show, and at times when we are out and see something out of the ordinary, they are convinced that it is Candid Camera trying to play a trick on us. We, like many other viewers are hoping that you will soon have a permanent day and time in which viewers can tune in and enjoy a good laugh.
—Kathleen, Charlie, Kerry and Sean

We love your show and look forward to it each week. In fact, Candid Camera is the only show on any of the major networks that we choose to watch. We get tons of laughs when we detail the episodes to many friends and family who have now become regular viewers. But what is happening to your schedule? We are concerned that CBS moves you around too much. Please hurry back!
—Elizabeth Allan and Brian Rahill, Columbus, Ohio

It's frustrating for us fans that there are scheduling problems with CBS, but the truth is there's nothing to worry about. Candid Camera is the funniest show on television because it has the most ingenious premise; people reacting naturally in unusual situations. Allan Funt was clever and fortunate to snatch up this idea, and Peter and Suzanne carry it off brilliantly. CBS is very lucky to have this show, and they know it. It will be around long after many popular shows are forgotten.
—Carl Flood, Toronto, Canada

I wait anxiously each week hoping to hear that you will be shown again. I absolutely love your show. It is so hilarious and I really hope that CBS brings it back soon. It is just about the only show I watch on TV.
—Ada Booth, Damascus, Maryland

I think Candid Camera is one of the best shows on TV, now and ever. Not only is the show very entertaining and funny, but educational too! What other show gives you an inside look into the nature of man? Candid Camera should be required viewing for all psychology and sociology majors. As for the show's hosts, Peter Funt does a great job and brings with him his father's legacy, a nice touch for those of us that watched the original series with Allen. Suzanne Somers is not only pretty, but she has a great hosting personality. The two work excellently together and I wouldn't change a thing. We wish you many years of continued success.
—Domenic & Donna

[Peter's reply: Thank you all for these very kind remarks. I'm sure we'll be back on the schedule soon, so keep smiling!]
