FEEDBACK

Here are a few of the letters received recently from Candid Camera viewers.
[Please note: Only signed letters will be considered for publication here.]
KEEP ON SMILING
I was glad to see candid camera come back on the air. I watched
the show as a little kid. It never seems to amaze me how after all these years,
you can still come up with new material. I love to see clips of the original show
also. Never does a Friday night go by that I don't get a laugh from the show.
I have heard people say when things happen out of the norm, "Am I on Candid Camera?"
Keep on Smiling! (My husband and son like Suzanne Summers.)

SORELY MISSED
I have been sorely missing Candid Camera. It is the ONLY show that
I watch on television (with regularity). Please in the future let regulars like
myself know that the show will be coming back. I was ready to start a "bring back
Candid Camera" campaign.

CAN I GET OLD CLIPS?
I really enjoy your show. I am wondering about shows that were aired
last season. Is there anyway to get videos of them? I am particularly interested
in two shows. They are the state of Texas being closed due to it's population
limit and the show where Suzanne sings "Earth Angel" out of tune in a local park.

[We're trying to figure out a system to make previous Candid scenes available.
Meanwhile, watch for repeat broadcasts, and keep an eye on this web site.]
COME TO OREGON!
I enjoy watching your program, and I hope that you'll come here
some time. I think that it would be awesome just to be surprised sometime while
I'm at the grocery store or even at school. I love to laugh!
Cassie Huntley, Salem, Oregon
COME BACK!
My wife and I look forward to Candid Camera and are very sad to
see that it hasn't been on lately. We can't wait to see the tribute to your dad
in November. Come back to us!
Leonard and Pat Welch, Berlin, Connecticut
[We're back! CBS has scheduled Candid Camera each Friday!]
SO REFRESHING
Candid Camera is one of the few shows we can have on TV when our
4, 9, and 12-yr. old grandkids are here and they said they watch it at home also.
It is the wholesomeness of the show that is so refreshing. Keep up the good work.

WHY THE BLEEPS?
As parents, we are quite selective of what our children watch on
TV since so much of what is on TV is inappropriate, even in the most subtle ways.
Our family enjoys watching your show because we all laugh together. It is generally
an uplifting time. We found your show disturbing tonight [Oct. 1] because so many
of the individuals' comments had to be bleeped out when they realized they were
on camera. We do not understand why you had to choose those comments to be aired.
Such responses appear to be the norm to children. It is a shame that we will have
to think twice before we watch your program together again.
Gwen and Ronald Goldstein, Huntington Station, N.Y.
[We use bleeps so that kids won't hear objectionable material. That's
the whole point. But we can't control how people speak, and we can't throw out
a sequence just because of a few harsh words. We hope you'll accept the bleeps.

LIKE IT IS
Thanks a lot for the entertaining show. The two mc's, Peter Funt
and Suzanne Somers, are excellent together. Your "skits" are great, just like
the original Candid Camera with Allen Funt. It takes a special type of humor.
One thing: please keep it like it is and don't try an imitation like has been
done in the past.
